The island province of Bohol including its 75 smaller surrounding islands is located in the Central Visayas, Philippines. It is roughly oval in shape and measures ca 5000 km2. From its coastline one sees Mindanao to the south, to the east Leyte and to the west & north Cebu.

Bohol is hilly and covered with coral limestone. The Chocolate Hills, more than 1200 uniformly cone-shaped hills in the central part of the island are famous and well worth a visit. It is also a home of the nocturnal Tarsier monkey, one of the smallest primates in the world with a body size of no more than 15cm and huge eyes.

There are a number of diving areas on Bohol. One of them is the gorgeous Anda peninsula located on the south-eastern tip of the island, around 2.5 hours by car from the main city of Tagbilaran. A 14km long reef stretches around the peninsula where you will find coral gardens, vertical coral-covered walls and sandy patches.

Diving is generally easy with some currents. Anda is a macro heaven with lots of rare, small creatures but it also features beautiful coral walls as well as Sea Turtles galore at the Paradise Garden dive site.

It is a unique, remote location with lots of beauty above and below the sea. A fabulous place to get away from it all.
